The Coffin of Pedi-Osiris, Pedi-Osiris was also known as the Lord of the Underworld, was made between the years of 305 BC-30 AD by various Egyptian artists using an Egyptian mummification process. The coffin, standing at more than 7 feet tall and large enough to contain the Priest, who enclosed in numerous layers of linen cloth, was made to resemble religious semiology and linear decorations using wood, polychrome, gold inlay and paint. Egyptian religion believed in resurrection after death and coffins were made to represent the life after death in order to ensure a successful rebirth. The artists used elaborate and detailed scenes using linear designs and hieroglyphs engravings on the sarcophagus to instruct and assist the Priest on his journey the through the underworld into the afterlife. The ancient Egyptian sarcophagi included illustrations depicting animals, religious proceedings and funerals that are painted on both sides of the coffin.
Renaissance painters also have great desire to recapture antiquity and its mythology. They believed that the ancient Greeks had superior knowledge and their myths held hidden truths. Mythology became a common subject matter during the beginning of the Renaissance. Many of the subject matter were borrowed from Greek and Roman art as well. While many of Renaissance art have content that was borrowed from Roman and Greek art, there art focus was shifted towards the individual in society, which is humanism.

A brief history of Egyptian jewellery and culture: Egyptians have been skilled in the making jewellery since the First Dynasty. The art of goldsmithing was truly mastered in the Middle Kingdom, during this time Egyptians refined their technical methods and accuracy which caused a surge in jewellery making. This surge was really seen in the era of the New Kingdom when jewellery manufacturing was at its highest because regular missions were being made to the Eastern Dessert and Nubia regions to collect materials making metals and stones more available for use in jewellery. The significance of Egyptian jewellery: Jewellery had both a religious and social or political meaning instead of just being worn as decorative pieces. Some pieces had magical signs or represented a god to ward off evil forces.
It doesn’t just use medicines but also meditation using smudge sticks. This meditation process works that the natives grab the smoke and push it on to their bodies and find a focus to help clear their mind. This article is a little contradicting to the first source in that they carried healing ways through their bloodlines, rather then learning it from earlier timed ways. By having a written language Egypt now had a written history instead of things being based off of memory. The history would include a chronological list of the kings whom had served as Egypt’s ruler. The new technique also provided things such as written laws, an expansion of culture, religious inscriptions such as spells to protect the dead, biographies and autobiographies, stories, and a means of recording things regarding business relations. The development of a written language benefited Egypt in many ways, but another discovery also had quite an impact on Egypt and is still held in high regards today. Another technique that emerges in Egypt is monumental architecture.
