Television shows like the cartoon “Static Shock” taught its young viewers about things like peer pressure and gangs. While shows like the “Jersey shore” and “Teen Mom” create stereotypes and bias towards the people the supposedly represent. “…will he not have a pain in his eyes which will make him turn away to take refuge in the objects of vision which he can see, and which he will conceive to be in reality clearer than the things which are now being shown to him. ?” (Socrates 1) This quote is basically saying that people are afraid to go against the mold and be like everyone else and sacrifice their beliefs and quiet the voice than to
And besides, this is the sort of reaction you would most likely get from a guy when he is deprived of any female contact within a school environment. I say that this book should not be banned. Yes there is violence but we are used to it already. It seems immoral but people are allowed to have their own opinions. There may be a large amount of inappropriate language but we have heard it already.
Imagine a kid solving a puzzle -which will help to develop his brain- instead of watching TV; also this kind of activities will keep him safe from violence. Ratings: I have seen a TV channel specifying violence ratings, I cannot recall the channel but every time I see it has violence on it I change the channel. We shouldn’t have to watch a program to see if it is violent. Sometime we start watching a program just to see if it appropriate or not to watch and then we realized that even it has violence we watched the entire TV show I think ratings will work just

What are important to consider about programs like this are, what messages adolescents are receiving from these types of television shows and how much is at face value. They can’t necessarily digest the amount of satire or the relation of these jokes to real life situations. In Peacocke’s article, Family Guy and Freud: Jokes and Their Relation to the Unconscious, she exhibits the notions of any Family Guy fan but explains that although the motive of this show, even throughout all the dark humor and twisted jokes, it should not be taken seriously, just a means to find entertainment or a quick laugh. An adult maybe about to pick the syntax of the show apart but how badly does the show fester in younger minds? Seeing various age groups watch this show I can see that many of them aren’t laughing at the well-structured jokes Family Guy makes but at the simple ones or scenes they personally think are hilarious, like fat jokes or making fun of teachers.

Furthermore, he uses active words to express how doublespeak will hide reality from people. For instance, in the last two paragraphs, he states that doublespeak will produce “suspicions, cynicism, distrust and hostility”. The dramatic change in society is going to be the reason that censorship goes from bad to worse right now it’s to most standard of sensory. Works Cited Censorship."
When the so-called “negative parts” of the books remain, kids gain knowledge of what is and what is not good to do, say, or act. Even though it may seem bad for them, in the long run it’s actually helping them. Books should not be banned from society because they are a way of imagination for children, and a way of life to adults. Opponents say some books should be banned from society, just because they have suggestive content. Religious issues shape ethical and moral viewpoints.
Sturgeon gives examples of films and TV shows that have negative effects on children. She criticizes our culture for feeding our kids with stereotypes at a young age by saying, “We need to be aware of theses dominant cultural messages may undermine the understanding of environmental justice issues we want to promote” (Sturgeon 575). Sturgeon is causing the reader to acknowledge that popular culture has an effect on young people, and we need to be aware of everything that we see on television and
