Even I cannot get a good health care here, how about the homeless? Can’t believe that, there are too much homeless here. When you walk through the downtown of many cities in California, like San Francisco you can see homeless people everywhere. Usually they sit on the street and begging for changes from people. The only thing they have might be just a piece of blanket or a weak dirty dog.
There are a plethora of problems with the system that the city refuses to ix. One of the main problems with the subway is the dirt and grime that are overrunning the carts. Everywhere you look there are piles of garbage lying around on the platforms. There is an inadequate amount of trash cans on the platforms. Due to this problem, people resort to throwing their used napkins, cans, and wrappers on the floor.
Because people don't dispose of the plastic bags properly they get into water ways which eventually affect the see life as well as all other animals and living organisms including plants. Chemicals are released in the air causing harm to everyone and everything. The plastic ends up around animals or plants causing suffocation and stress to the living, which results to death. Plastic bags have become such a huge problem because of the large amount of plastic bags on earth. If you were in charge, what plan might you propose to reduce or eliminate their use?
Moral scavengers are less likely to have people complain about them, which could endanger their way of life. While they are digging through dumpsters for useable items, they come across quite a bit of sensitive information such as bank statements and prescription bottles (Eighner 362). A moral person will simply leave those sensitive items where they are, but an immoral person might take that those items and somehow use them against the owner for monetary gain. Ultimately, if dumpster divers used that information they could be fined or go to jail, which would put them in a much worse situation than they were already in. Another example of how a dumpster diver must be moral is by resisting the temptation to create a better selection of food by calling in false orders to fast food restaurants.
No matter how many flyers would be sent out to residences, nor how many commercials announced that pesticide would be sprayed on a particular day there are still citizens that would have been uninformed to what was taking place. The poor citizens that do have television and the uneducated citizens that would not understand what they were reading and the harmful effects that the pesticide would have on them would be the ones typically to be outdoors when the spraying is taking place. The agricultural workers in the fields would be sprayed or would handle fruit or vegetables with the residue from the pesticide and get very ill. Killing the mosquitoes is a short term fix, when in all actuality the city needs to take the money donated and educate the citizens and tourist on how to avoid contracting the West Niles Virus. Educating people how to take care of themselves is a long term solution that will not cause irreparable damage to the
Consumers didn’t like the feel of the new plastic so it is blended with normal plastics in many items. The potato plastic degrades when the item is used in landfill, leaving tiny pieces of the normal plastic behind instead of a bottle or a crisp packet. Questions. 1. Read the text and give each paragraph a title.
They also believed that the disease was transmitted upon the air, probably because the smell from the dead and dying was so terrible. They were unaware that infected rats and fleas carried the disease. The towns were hit the hardest because there was no sanitation. People threw their garbage out on the street which attracted the rats. Even before the plague, knowledge of hygiene was very limited at that time in history.
In some cities they had to actually post arm guards on garbage trucks, people were scavenging for food, people would swamp the garbage truck when they would dump the garbage at the dumps. Production was down particularly of wheat, but there was enough out there but the only problem is transportation and storage system. They were dumping milk in the street as a protest, we didn’t have the system to transport milk from for example Wisconsin to Boston, it couldn’t be done so there are people that are starving in Boston because you couldn’t get the food to them. This is really a crisis and the country knows, Roosevelt knows, if you don’t fix this soon the public will put in dictatorship either on the right or the left. Dictators are very efficient they get things done on time.
Companies have deposited their waste in the lake, which has caused the lake to be shut down because humans are getting sick and even dying from the polluted waters. Viruses, pathogens, chemicals and toxins are all part of this pollution, which affects recreation, jobs, and habitats of animals. Fishermen have not spent money fishing for sport due to the drastic reduction of the salmon population at Lake Huron. Recreational hours at the lake have also seen a drastic decrease. This devastation affects a majority of the U.S. being one of our largest sources of fresh water, and will only continue to deplete, as companies carelessly dump their waste into the lake.
