The education system needs to be reformed so students have the opportunity to choose whether they want to go to college or do vocational training instead. A college degree is bringing more negative aspects into a student’s life therefore students, especially from working class, must know the alternatives to be able to succeed. Most of the students in the United States are middle or working class. In addition of going to school, working class students also have to get a job to be able to help out their families.
This assignment is a major determining factor in whether a not a student graduates on time. There are many reasons as to why this project should be done away with, a few being: the project is just not feasible, it’s given too much weight, and because it is an inaccurate measurement of what has been learned. Imagine being a senior in high school, and all you can think about is walking across that stage in June. Graduation and prom are the only two things that seniors want to worry about during the last stretch of high school, but instead students are worried about their Senior Exit Project. This task consumes half of junior year and most of senior year too.
I want to be able to have a good career and succeed in life. That means being able to support myself and my family. Having a decent job from going to college could change someone’s life. I decided to go back to school for quite a few reasons. The main factors for my returning to school includes my family and stability also plays big role in my returning to school. My reasons for going back to school is to gain communication skills, become a good role model for my children, if I decide to have any, gain independence and seek profitable employment that would be profitable for me. My father has always been my support system in my return to school.
Most people surely would be enthusiastic to start their life after high school knowing they’ve done their best in order to be able to attend the college or university of their choice. A high school student passes their high school years working hard to earn their grades and G.P.A in order to have a successful high school life. Most students work hard throughout high school knowing what college or university they would like to attend once they graduate. Students don’t know that getting into one of these universities might be easier than they thought. Because of affirmative action public colleges must have diversity in them.
It has helped me with the debt that I had prior to returning to school. This started off being the main reason why I decided to return to school but I saw the bigger picture and that was me getting a college degree and making a better life my children. So for me, it is all worth it in the end. While trying to pursue my degree, I know there will be many obstacles in the way such as unsupportive peers and being able to maintain good grades. Some of the strategies are to make sure I study all material as much as I can and turn all assignments in a timely manner.
Since year round schooling has one group of students that are on vacation for a week while the rest of school is in secession, it allows for class room space to be used more and a single teacher would Evers # be able to teach more students because of the way that year round schooling is set up.
