Since I have never used Edmodo, I did a little research about it and below are the most useful information that I found: Edmodo looks a lot like Facebook. You have a profile picture in the far left-hand corner, there's a stream of updates and you can interact with students and teachers in your building, or teachers from all over the country. Edmodo is very private, that way only certain people will be able to see what's being posted and updated. The design of Edmodo is a bit more user friendly. Students will know what to do right away with it because they've seen it before (if they have a Facebook account). You can post documents, post quizzes, post to a calendar, embed documents and videos. You can tag posts and even make some of your posts "public" to create “Twitter like” feed that showcases updates of what you're doing. Google Sites is the easiest way to make information accessible to people who need quick, up-to-date access. People can work together on a Site to add file attachments, information from other Google applications (like Google Docs, Google Calendar, YouTube and Picasa). Creating a site together is as easy as editing a document, and you always control who has access, whether it's just yourself, your team, or your whole organization. You can even publish Sites to the world. The Google Sites web application is accessible from any internet connected computer.
