Two of the most important time periods in world history are from 1450-1750 and from 1750-1900. Some economic and social differences between the two time periods were that women played a larger role in factories and that there was a middle class from1750-1900. Although there were some differences they also had a few similarities, such as trade, patriarchal societies, China’s isolation, and the establishment of Liberalism. Another social comparison is that patriarchal societies were practiced in both time periods. An economic similarity between 1450-1750 and 1750-1900 is that China remained isolated from the rest of the world. They practiced isolationism until the mid-1900s, when they finally opened their borders to foreign countries.
