Kudler Fine Foods is a local yet upscale specialty store with three locations (DelMar, La Jolla, and Encinitas) in California. The square footage of each location is in comparison adequate enough space for the specialties (bakery, pastry, packaged foods, cheese, and specialty dairy products) offered by Kudler Fine Foods. The mission of Kudler Fine Foods is to “provide a delightful and pleasing shopping outing.” The company wants to make sure that the selections within each store is the best in products, and by providing such a service the customer is receiving a “Wow” experience that will keep them coming back for these products. Before Kudler Fine Foods even existed there was not even one such food supply shop in LA. Kathy did her research on what was needed in order to open an upscale epicurean food shop in La Jolla. Once Kathy completed her research, she developed a business plan which allowed her to get financed and open up the first Kudlers Fine Foods. As time passed the store was making profits within the first nine months. By the year 2000 stores two and three were open. The bakery department of Kudler Fine Foods begins baking early in the morning. Ingredients are mixed together which allow for the bakers to create fresh breads and pastries, as well as croissants and fruit tarts. At Kudler Fine Foods the breads and pastries are made from old world recipes using the finest ingredients such as Irish butter, organic eggs, and unbleached flour.
