Many organizations are raising money to help put Greensburg back on the map. Greensburg’s City Council held a meeting and they decided to rebuild Greensburg “Green”. Leadership in Energy Environmental Design (LEED) is helping Greensburg live up to its name of being “Green”! The City Council held another meeting and approved a resolution that stated all city buildings must be built according to the LEED platinum rating. Platinum is the highest rating of going “green.” With the help of a non-profit organization called Greensburg Greentown they are working together to help Greensburg reach its town goal of using 100% of renewable energy 100% of the time.
This knowledge means that they will use techniques in recruiting and selecting those adequate and qualified candidates for the required open positions that are available to be filled. Creating a work environment in which employees are productive is essential to increased profits for your organization, corporation or small business. One of the ways this is done is thru adequate training. Training is the process of giving the companies employees the knowledge and skills to complete the job or jobs they were hired for. Another way how an human resource department can make a pleasant environment for employees is through employee development.

Since they have started to decrease the sugar and calories in many of their products, it is helping the society to decrease obesity with their drinks and also is helping their company to do better since their consumers want to buy their products. In the book, we talk about sustainability. I believe that Coca-Cola’s new products, new commercial, and new perspective is sustainable. As stated in MKTG, sustainability ‘refers to the idea that socially responsible companies will outperform their peers by focusing on the world’s social problems and viewing them as opportunities to build profits and help the world at the same time(p.38)’.
How would you rate Scholfield Honda's sense of social responsibility? Does the dealership meet all the criteria for a socially responsible company? With their decisions to promote and supply an alternative energy that is cleaner than the current standard, as well as supplying the infrastructure to support this new form of energy, I believe they have indeed met the criteria for a socially responsible company. Also by promoting the Honda brand which has been manufacturing these alternative energy vehicles since 1970, they are helping to make not only the brand, but the technology more visible in the public eye. What is Scholfield Honda's primary ethical responsibility in situations where a proposed green initiative is cost-prohibitive or even detrimental to the company's bottom line?
Can One Family Make a Difference? Climate change, its cause, its affect and how we can correct it seem to surround us daily. We are strongly encouraged by activists and scientists to “go green” and be environmentally friendly. It is evident that climate change is a problem with many believing one main contributor to this change being greenhouse gases. Many harmful greenhouse gases are emitted from the things we do every day, which means we should start looking into our daily lives to see what we can do to help reduce these harmful emissions.
So what exactly volunteering is and why the happiness appears in this group of people that people are seeking for. What is volunteering? Volunteering is a very meaningful and valuable work, even if the volunteer is engaged in manual labors; it should be the same appreciation and respects for the fair. Volunteer Services will have an impact on society with far-reaching significance and roles. For the social significance; establish a caring community to help volunteers understand better the community.
