Hey guys, today I’m going to talk to you about why drugs in sport is condonable. This is for a few different reasons and they are: the fact that sport is a business, there is no such thing as a level playing field in sport and that these drugs can be taken safely and correctly. Ask yourself, what is sport? Sport is a competition, and what is the purpose of a competition? that's exactly right, to win. Sport has never been about being fair, nor has it ever been about being even. It's about winning, and gaining the biggest advantage over the competition as you can, so that you can ensure victory. Things like having the best training facilities, the most money, the best players, due to your ability promise more money, and success, are all examples of which some teams have an advantage over others. Drugs in sport are another example of this. Drugs in sport isn't exactly a new trend, drugs have been in sport since sport began sport began. The use of drugs to enhance performance in sports has taken place since the time of the original Olympic Games The origin of the word 'doping' is attributed to the Dutch word 'doop,' which is a viscous opium juice,which along with the use of hallucinogens such as mushroom they were drug of choice of the ancient Greeks." And it's easy to see why drugs are so popular in sport, they not only help increase levels of performance, but they increase your chances of winning. Drugs and sport is a match made in heaven. People may expect sport to be even and fair, but in blatant reality this will never be the case. Winning changes people, the ambition to win changes people. Every athlete, every coach and every team has only one goal.that one goal is to win. Many athletes go about achieving this goal legally but as we see time and time again others won't.
