Drugs and Alcohol Drugs such as: Advil, Tylenol, Vicks, and Robitussin are good for those who need medicines to cure their sickness. On the other hand, there is another type of drug, which is Marijuana. In the book Dealing Death and Drugs, the author debating weather Marijuana should be prohibited or not. In my opinion, I agree that Marijuana should be prohibited, but at the same time I disagree if they prohibited Marijuana. Both authors, who grew up in El Paso, few minutes from Ciudad Juárez, witnessed what had been happened there. Since middle school until college they are living in area accustomed by drugs. Furthermore, they finally learned that Juárez was the crossing point for many trade of the drugs. Due to their curiosity about drugs in their area, they are investigating about the illegal drugs trade between Mexico and United States. Juarez is known as a city of death because of their drug trafficking market. This business has been leading Juarez into city that caused number of murdered increased. “In 2008 there were about 1,600 homicides, more than 2,700 in 2009, more than 3,100 in 2010, and rates continue apace as of June” (Campbell). Based on the statistics, it has been proved that Juarez is really a city of death. This is the reason why I agree Marijuana should be prohibited. Drugs trafficking caused a lot of people has been murdered, even an innocent people who don’t even know about drugs can be murdered too. Raul for example, he has nothing to do with drugs. He lived his life peacefully with his auntie during the school week was killed when he about to going home with his Dad. Why? Because his father involvement with the drugs trafficking. Raul cased was one of the hundreds cases that innocent people was murdered because of drugs trafficking.
