This is why teaching financial literacy in high school will benefit the students later in their life. Secondly, the people who lack the financial literacy skills do not tend to save or plan for their future retirement. This is because they do not know how to make a financial plan, so they cannot plan their retirement and they have to depend on government pension because they are not self-reliant. Because of the lack of knowledge they do not save money and even if they save they do not know how to invest the money wisely. So
Some people deserve a second chance, but it shouldn’t be given to someone that doesn’t show effort towards school. If someone is failing a class you can’t always blame the student. You have to put in perspective that the teacher could be bad at teaching,or perhaps the student missed a lot of class due to being sick,or maybe the class is just too hard. So however, handing out extra credit could be tolerable to the students that show effort, and not to the students who mess around in class. One reason a student should receive extra credit to pass, is that they have trouble with that one specific subject.
They may be less likely to achieve as well at school due to lack of space at home to complete homework. This could result in low expectations of themselves. Housing and Community- Poor housing can affect a child's development. Living in a community where children experience anti-social behaviour can lead to families being isolated and children may not speak to their parents. This could also make it difficult to access education and children may get excluded from school due to behaviour.
At age 16 my aunty dropped out of high school and her life has been a living hell ever since. The age requirement to drop out of high school should remain the same because at 16 the part of the brain, called the Frontal Lobe, which controls decision making, isn’t completely developed. “Students who receive poor grades, who repeat a grade, or who are over-age for their class are more than likely to drop out.” (Do Something) Students who receive poor grades are likely to not care, get upset, or do something about it. Getting bad grades really affects you when you put so much time in that subject. If you don’t do the work, how do you expect to get good grades?
Waiting for the Superior Hero In the film, they revealed how bad teachers are often transferred from one school to another. This can be seen as a rotation cycle which is not turning out well for the public school system as well for the students. The reason being why a school lets a teacher go is because they discover that they are not doing their job efficiently which leads students to not learning. When students do not learn at least the basics of education, then they do not meet the state standards and cannot enter the next grade level. With this in mind, administrators are stuck trying to figure out what in the world are they doing wrong.
Many were not motivated or properly taught by teachers, and in fact began to fail out or drop out of school. Most do not go onto College and most cannot afford College because of their low income families. In order to receive financial aid you must be a good student, and without the right education these students do not have good grades. It is a vicious cycle in our society that needs to be corrected. Education is one of the most important factors in a person’s life, and it needs to be the most important thing in our
Social class differences in pupils’ home background plays a key role in causing differences in educational achievement. The material factor with the most impact on differences in achievement is poverty, such as adequate housing, diet and income. It causes children to achieve badly academically and mostly affects the working class. Poverty can cause working class underachievement in that a poor living environment could consist of overcrowding, and so pupils don’t have a quiet place to study and work efficiently. Also, the lack of a balanced diet can lead to absences from school and can cause them to loose concentration in class due to hunger.
Options like going without a book are not sufficient, because no amount of note taking can accurately replace in class learning with the book. Students also attempt to wait until financial aid is available; this generally puts students behind schedule, which is not how to start the semester. These students start out the year missing assignments. Some students have to depend on their parents to help them get books. This is not a solution either, due to the country already struggling in a financial depression.
Daydreaming is a problem because the student is not focusing on the teacher and is missing important instruction that will be needed in order to complete assignments. She won't be able to complete her assignment during independent work time because she didn't hear the instructions, this will put her further behind in her academic progress. Behavior 2. The student is on a second grade reading level. This is a problem because most school work requires that you read instructions before completing a task.
But the problem isn’t that the teachers give it, the problem is that students have no time for studying and doing there homework. This essay will hopefully persuade you to realize why students need less homework and why they don’t have time for studying. Students come home from school and because of their heavy coursework, have to start their home work immediately. Because of this, the students cannot interact with their family as much and therefore the home lives of the students sometimes suffer. The students have to sit down at a desk for many hours a day which is not only tedious but also unhealthy.
