The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. Finally! A president who believes starting quality education at a young age is a priority! Education is always at the forefront of any Presidential election, however it is often forgotten about once the votes are tallied. Mr. and Mrs. Obama have made it their business to improve education and close the enormous gap between students who do well with those who don’t. I am also one of the older ones out of all my classmates so I would like to go to CASL so that I can learn to be a better leader to those who might look up to me. My classmates should vote for me to go to CASL because I would benefit the entire class. They should also vote for me because it would cause me to have more dedication to them. It would do that because I would be the one going, not one of them. Voting for me would allow them to have a better secretary for the rest of the year and possibly a better representative next year.

We all have people we don’t like but we probably didn’t give them enough time. “’If you wait long enough people will surprise and impress you.”’ (155). There’s more people than we realize in our lives that can help us, just give them more time to show themselves. We shouldn’t worry that much about what people think about us because we should be happy with ourselves and it wastes our time. “If nobody ever worried about what was in other people’s heads, we’d all be 33% more effective in our lives and our jobs.” (141).
I have realized that people can come and go out of my life as they please, but it’s the people that stay that truly impact me. If I weren’t as lucky to have the people I have in my life at the moment I don’t know where I would be
I would like to show my family that education is very important, because it doesn't only affect you but everyone that is surrounded by you. I would like to set an example for my little sister, and younger cousins, that anything is possible, and that your education sets a path for your future that if you have a bright future you can have a beautiful life. I would also like God to be proud of me as well. Bishop Noll Institute offers a challenging academic environment, I clearly see it in the upperclassmen’s attitudes and the standards that they set for me as a freshman this year. Our country prides itself on encouraging its citizens to better themselves through education. (P) While its priority has been high school graduation, many jobs now require college degrees, making higher education more important than ever. While I understand that every American should be expected to sacrifice during this hard time, just as we were in World War II, I feel that this particular sacrifice would put our country in an even worse state. (S) Our work force will not be prepared to handle nor understand the advancements that we have strived so hard to achieve. College is made to prepare students with the newest information possible, so that we can constantly be improving ourselves and be able continue to compete with the world’s leading nations.
All of these major people involved with helping a campus succeed would be out of a job and like everyone else be in a need of help. This started off being the main reason why I decided to return to school but I saw the bigger picture and that was me getting a college degree and making a better life my children. So for me, it is all worth it in the end. While trying to pursue my degree, I know there will be many obstacles in the way such as unsupportive peers and being able to maintain good grades. Some of the strategies are to make sure I study all material as much as I can and turn all assignments in a timely manner.
