Our safe haven to stretch our wings and fly. It is the one thing no one can take from us. But it can also become a place where our fears and insecurities become a reality. Where our troubles from the day come crashing down on us suffocating the hope we wholeheartedly seek out. There are times when going to sleep seems to be the highlight of my day. The part of my day where I can simply lie down, relax and be by myself, at times, at least a few hours. On the nights I can let go, find my happy ending, double entendre meant, or nights that I am so wired I end up fighting to evade my insecurities, feelings of loss of control, and other shortcomings I possess.
