Three years ago recently graduated from high school, students or eighteen years old decide to move out of their houses to a location where they could finally escape the family stress, people, and their neighborhood. For the majority of the students, the move is a success, a great pleasure, and otherwise a great new place to call home. On the other hand, there are some students however, who are finding the new life in college to be struggle, and for some, a pleasant event. In this essay, I will compare and contrast the views and opinions on life in the dorm versus life back home. To begin, I find that life at college is better than life at home. Parent, jobs, stress and people are not a problem for me at home, but it will be better to live with friends. A lot of teenagers about my age live in dorms to lose track of family, friends etc. I am getting along well in Texas A&M. Students do not have parental control at all. Students do not have the tension of someone telling them what to do, where to go or not to go, or anything like at home. We don’t have to make the bed, take out the trashcan, or even wear ugly clothes anymore. It’s awesome! Back in home, it is all about asking for permission. The pressure from parent towards you to study every single minute is very annoying. We find college dorm life better than life at home. Students find more liberty with friends than family and that is what makes life easier for us. Students’ liberty is the argument between choosing home and dorms.
