My Company The name of my company is “The Holey Donut Cafe”. The mission statement is: to create a variety of donuts and pastries from scratch along with excellent customer people of all ages to enjoy as a treat. My product will be donuts and pastries of many varieties along with an assortment of coffees and teas to enjoy with your pastries. The pastries and coffee will be served in a café like environment with tables and chairs set up in front of the café for people to enjoy on nice days. The donuts and pastries will be made from fresh ingredients daily. No boxes of cake mix or canned frosting will be used. Situation Analysis Internal Environment This company will only employ people with previous experience in food service and a heart towards customer service. We want to enable the staff to come up with new and different flavors to try. We will only use fresh ingredients and will make the donuts on a daily basis. External Environment There are not many donut shops in the area so I think this shop will take off. Although there are many bakeries in the area, not many offer a café like environment. They will have a comfortable environment to enjoy a fresh donut or pastry and a variety of coffee choices. Finding that niche is always a key. Competitors The competition would be Mary Ann Donuts and some of the local bakeries that offer donuts. I think the consumer will want to try a shop that specializes in just donuts and coffee. SWOT Analysis Strengths • I have a competitive advantage since there are not many café donut shops in the area. • Donuts and pastries with coffee seem to be a growing trend in the area. • Donuts are an affordable indulgence.
