Not just of the breeding dogs in the farm but most of their puppies as well. As cute as the puppy in the pet shop may seem you should always buy from a proper breeder or an animal shelter this way you will know that you are not contributing towards puppy mills and killing innocent dogs. This is one dog that was lucky enough to be saved from a puppy mill. If the dogs are not rescued and given another home from the animal shelter they will be put down and the owner of the puppy mills get away with murder. Not just of the breeding dogs in the farm but most of their puppies as well.
Furthermore, a police dog killed in the line of duty is traditionally given a full police funeral and burial just as they would for a human officer. If the dog is killed or injured by another animal, like a big cat, bear, or another dog, the animal would be shot. Police dogs rarely go to cases involving other animals like drug dealers using other dogs or exotic animals to guard the evidence to avoid the death of their police dog. Not only are these dogs important to the corresponding police officer because of duty, but mostly because these
When brought up in the world they were taught to become baiting dogs. “When the Normans invaded England in 1066, they introduced a new sport called baiting. Interestingly enough, baiting originated with butchers who kept dogs (called Bullenbeissers) to handle unruly bulls as they were herded to the market for slaughter”.1 After being introduced to this, many towns created their own baiting rings and began to use the butchers method on not only bulls, but other animals as well for the entertainment of the towns people. Eventually and thankfully baiting was made illegal a few years later, but then sadly turned into pinning these dogs on each other. As the years went on positive changes started to arise for pit bulls.

Dear editor, The piece called ‘End the menace of attack dogs’ published on the 19/8/11 in The Age, has stunned me. I know dogs well; my family has had many in our past. Pitbulls are dangerous dogs that will attack people as well as pets. We don’t hear and read about the pit bull dogs much. Think what it was like for my little 7 year old brother playing in the front yard to have a viscous animal coming at him snarling and barking and me as I hear him scream, I ran out to threaten the dog to go away.
When Buck had first arrived in the North, he watched a friendly dog named Curly get brutally killed by a group of vicious sled dogs, only because Curly was being friendly to Buck. Buck watched as all the other dogs attacked and kill Curly. The tragic death of Curly not only left Buck in a shock of the wolves’ manner of fighting, but left him determined that he will never be put in the same position, but also symbolized his departure from the old, comfortable life Buck had as a pet in a warm climate and in a home. It symbolized his entrance into a new world where the only law was "the law of club and
