Does today’s music videos have a negative effect on children? If you should compare music videos in the past, with those that are being played now, there is a massive change. It brings with it both negative and positive. On the positive side it entertains, inspired, stimulates and entertains. On the negative side it can insulate bad behaviour and attitude among the youth. Children should be encouraged to choose music videos th at are beneficial to them. The majority of music videos fans are teenagers and young adults, who are in an impressionable period of their lives. This can also turn into anti-social behaviour Music videos have been around for years from different culture. There has been a massive change in the music industry. In a way children and young people see this as a money making venture. Some are inspired by the artist and their music and it can have a negative impact on others, which can lead to antisocial behaviour. Artist in the past music videos were more refine in the sense that whole families could sit and watched this together without fear of nudities. Now a days videos are more proned to be shown with scantily cladded people (i.e. naked) and it is embarrassing to sit with your children family to watch that. Majority of young people when asked what they would like to become they would say they want to be a singer because they can make a lot of money. This is an easy way to make money and they wouldn’t have to think about college or university, they are more interested in the fast lane, like getting a flashy car, blings and so on. Coming from people on the streets they are concerned about their children and other young people in today’s society. They thought the music videos the kids are watching are no good for them.
