Technology is continues to change for the better. Believe it or not, there are still some parents, students, and educators may not agree with newer technology, and would rather continue learning in a traditional class setting, versus online teaching and learning. They may express concern that if class time is spent on such activities, there will not be adequate time for students to master basic skills. They also may fear that the students will fail to obtain the social aspects of learning as a team, and also class participation. Technology contributes to the learning process in more ways than one could possibly think of. Email serves as a tool to send messages and attached documents to people from all over the world, within a matter of seconds. This is very useful for college students who are assigned to a team. For example, when a several students from different parts of the world are assigned a group paper. They could use email to send communicate back and forth, and to send attachments of each team member’s portion of the paper. Technology is rapidly increasing in most parts of the world. There are many different ways that technology helps to contribute to meaning learning. For example, the use of the blackboard for students attending online classes at Liberty University. The purpose of the blackboard is to submit assignments electronically, effective communication between students and teachers, grades, and attendance. The blackboard is awesome! It allows students to receive faster responses from their instructors. There are many online schools for students of all ages, beginning with kindergarten through college. Technology allows students to enroll in schools of their choice. Online teaching is growing, as technology continues to enhance. Learning technology can effectively accomplish that goal because of the rapid pace at which hardware software changes.
