Do I Want An Enriched Job? Yes. I would love an enriched job! I received a 3.58 for both direct and reverse scoring. My ideal enriched civilian job is a job similar to that of the military that I retired from. Whereas, every organization that I was assigned to was like family, every voice was taken into consideration by the commander in a meeting, hard work was recognized and rewarded, and teamwork was the norm. As a supervisor, I was always approachable, easy to talk too and always concerned about others health and well-being. That is very important! I liked to take care of the troops who worked under me and teach them what I’d learned during my years as a leader so they could take that knowledge and go even further in their career. I believe that everyone should be responsible for accomplishing their workload but if a member is unable to make it to work due to an emergency or anything along that line we should be able to cover for them and complete his/her workload. I like to think of myself as a fair supervisor or manager, I know every young troop will eventually be a manager or supervisor. Case Application 1) I think that Google will be a very interesting place to work in. Google has set the bar for employee satisfaction so very high that they might be unmatched by its competitor. The organization offers free gourmet meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), free laundry, daycare, personal massages, and much more. It seems to me that it can be a very comfortable, and relaxing, and fun place to work. And it seems that the company has thought of everything as far keeping their employees happy and morale high. 2) This situation tells me that most of Google’s talented employees are senior employees who are not satisfied or motivated by the fabulous perks, it is hard to believe that the new employees are the ones who are leaving.
