There are many obstacles that new freshman will face when entering the college life. In this paper I will cover the dos and don’ts of college and how to get the most bang for your buck in your education at post. Incoming freshman will face some hard times and some good times all at once. The students have to learn to deal with these challenges and overcome them and if you stick with it you will soon discover that it’s all worth it. There are many advantages that people have when they are living on campus. For one thing you get to meet people of different cultures and beliefs; this can only benefit you when out in the real world. Another advantage to living on campus is the fun. We all know that college has some of the best parties and from past experience they can get distracting and your grades will suffer. My advices for the incoming freshman is get the work done then go out and party that way you won’t fall behind in your classes. Another good idea is to take advantage of the campus resources. The learning center is a great way for students to go to and get some extra tutoring that every student probably needs. There are a lot of nice people in there that are willing to help you in whatever you need. Also the library that we have is top of the line. The librarians are very helpful and once again they are willing to help you with whatever your needs. Also it’s a good idea to get involved. The campus offers some great ways to stay entertained. They offer trips to New York and a variety of other activities. The school just recently put on a play for us and it was hilarious, I never laughed so hard in my life. I also highly recommend joining a club for many reasons, you get to meet other people and you can choose the club that fits you best. Like take for instance me.
