It is important not to speak out of angry emotions, and again sometimes it is best to tell an employee that one may need to think on the matter first before responding. While it may not seem like a "big deal" it is important to make sure that the words that are used when speaking to employees are simple and clear. Some employees may not understand the use of large words, and therefore the message that the manager / supervisor is trying to convey may be lost. Good grammar is also a must for every type communication. Use of slang terms is not a wise idea, as what is acceptable in generation / culture could be offensive to the next.. We must make sure we are saying exactly what we mean to and clearly enough that so that others are going to hear exactly what the manager / supervisor is trying to say.
Justice is what is seen to be right and just by society and this means that society is catered for. However, an outsider does not conform with society so what they may think is just is different to society. These conflicting views mean that societies justice can be placed on the outsider. Outsiders are often isolated, they don't fit in or necessarily want to fit in . They often don't pick up on the nrules or cues society have to operate.
It was nice to see that with honestly comes respect and with respect comes loyalty. Wouldn’t it be nice if more people applied the law of solid ground to their way of living? It’s sad because this is not something you see much of anymore, it’s as if people are born careless and heartless. These are definitely not qualities that leaders can have. Colonel Shaw had character, heart and really cared about his soldiers and that’s what
In the same way, Bean will not know that Ender cares about him. Some manipulation is necessary in order to make soldiers the best that they can be. Ender does not understand how he is being manipulated, and it is necessary that he does not know. The only way for him to be a great commander is for him to hate the teachers, to blame them for what he has been forced to become, and he is right to do so. At the same time, they are only doing what they need to do.
In this article by Mrs. Deluca she mentioned that combat soldiers are trained to “toughing it out”, whatever the problem is. They are trained not to show any signs of “weakness” because in some cases it is frowned upon. Combat war veterans at times will tend to judge themselves as being weak because the condition makes them feel weak. Mrs. Deluca also explains that to tough it out is a skill that is necessary when it comes to a combat situation. The reason is because soldiers see it as skills that work and that have made it possible for them to come home alive from war.
We often find ourselves criticizing the way a message is presented and ignoring its content or value. We don’t like the message being “read” to us, we find the speaker lacking in experience, or we don’t care for the negative tone of the boss. Our listening focuses on delivery and approach.
The importance of not lying in society. There are many reasons why a soldier should not lie in the army. First I will go over the moral implications of lying. First and foremost any one person should not lie because it is wrong just plain wrong. For instance if you were to lie to a family member or a friend about something as menial as saying you have taken out the trash and you didn’t or failed to do it correctly you are deceiving your family member or friend.
Main claim The paper ‘Professional Integrity and Disobedience in the Military’ by Jessica Wolfendale argues that if the military’s primary function is to protect the nation and serve moral good, then the military, at both institutional and individual level, should have, not only the permission, but the duty to disobey direct orders from the state to go to war if these orders conflict with the principles of jus ad bellum. Wolfendale further argues that there is a discrepancy between the military’s professional integrity and the generally accepted fact that the military should ultimately obey the state. The inconsistency lies in the fact that the guidelines of the professional integrity in this case would have prohibited the execution of many orders given by states through the years, and since there are few to none accounts of the military disobeying state orders. Opposing point of view The generally accepted opinion is, that the military professionals cannot be held accountable for the morality of an order issued by the state. It is widely recognised that the military and the soldiers individually are part of a community that would demand of them to put their personal and professional values aside to serve the moral good.
Punctual is a good thing to be but in order to be that you need to pay attention and be at your appointed place of duty on time and in the right uniform. By doing this it will be a start at setting you up as a good leader or Non-Commissioned Officer. Military and leadership are inseparable if your in the military then your either in control of leadership or being controlled by leadership in some type of way. By this being this being the truth there is no excuse of being late and it is not to be tolerated. As a leader you already know that
Others are just plan as day bad or horrible leaders. Last is the Soldier. I know that being a leader it is not our job to be friends with the Soldiers however it is good to become good acquaintances and get to know their Soldiers. That is when some things get crazy as Soldiers think a leader is becoming a friend and try to get away with things. That is not the case.
