Even now, I still like to see those toys and dolls of Donald Duck and they are everywhere! Yes, not only Donald Duck, but a vast array of dolls, toys, clothing, and novelty items are everywhere in Hong Kong. The nearest one to me is the Trendy Land selling Disney products in APM in Kwun Tong. Beside Trendy Land, you still can buy those toys in the theme parks, boutiques, McDonald (tie-in with food), small stationary stores, and even the hawkers in Ladies Market in Mong Kwok. To be more specific, Disney is everywhere. Disney is one of the most powerful companies in the world. It is most famous for its animated movies and its theme parks, but it is involved in many other areas such as book, magazine & newspaper publishing; producing & distributing ordinary feature-films; cable TV; music recording; live stage shows; real estate (property) development; video production & sales; In addition, Disney took over the USA's ABC broadcasting network in 1995, and became the second-largest media group in the world (only Time-Warner is bigger). Hong Kong Disneyland, the fifth Disneyland in the world, is located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island. After years of negotiations and construction, the park finally opened to visitors on September 12, 2005.
