Discuss the positive and negative effects of globalisation on the world today Nowadays we live in countries which are filled with many items, products, cultures and news from other counties. It is really an interesting phenomenon. China is an example of this. Dating the Han dynasty , Chinese and westerners began trading. Almost every aspect of our lives has been affected by globalisation, such as food,culture,education,trade and tourism. However, people from different cultures have different opinions on this issue. This essay will discuss the positive and negative effects of globalisation in the area of trade and tourism in our modern life. Further more,some possible solutions to the disadvantages of globalisation will be given. Before looking into the effects of globalisation, it is necessary to clarify the definition of globlisation. In the dictionary, globalisation is “the process enabling financial and investment markets to operate internationally, largely as a result of deregulation and improved communications” (Collins,2012). It seems that this definition is too simple to describe such a complicated phenomenon. It is hard to summarise the meaning of this word. Jeffery (2002,p.1) state that “It has become a buzzword that some will use to describe everything that is happening in the world today.” This paragraph will discuss the effects of globalisation on trade. From 1945 , people began to exchange the things they need with each other. With the development of transportation, the regions and items that they traded expanded. Nowadays, globalisation has brought lots of challenges to the whole world. Some of them are good, some of them are bad. On the one hand, globalisation have some positive influences on trade.
