Then on November 2, 1936 they became the world's first regular high-definition television service. TV broadcasts in London were on the air an average of four hours daily from 1936 to 1939. There were 12,000 to 15,000 receivers. Some sets in restaurants or bars might have 100 viewers for sport events, but the outbreak of the Second World War caused the BBC service to be suspended on September 1, 1939, resuming from Alexandra Palace on June 7, 1946. The first regular colour broadcasts didn't get broadcast until 1967.

However, this was not the case almost fifty years ago. In 1964 England, the first documentary following the events of people’s lives was created. Much like the reality shows of today, millions of viewers were able to peek into the lives of others except these participants are interviewed every seven years beginning at age seven, hence, 7 Up. There was a vast difference in the backgrounds of the individual families who agreed to allow their children to participate in this documentary.

This play shows Tuesdays to Saturdays at 8pm and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm since early October until now extended December 1st. This comedy is a story of a gentile trying hard to become a Jew in attempt to pursue Jewish girl supported by his Jewish buddy in a deal of matching up his buddy with different Jewish girls. The play begins with the duet of Mark Baram playing the role of Adam Lipschitz, a Jew of an anxious character and David Kerr as Chris O’Connell, a smart, confident looking gentile both in consent of pursuing Jewish woman.
A soap opera is an ongoing work of fiction usually concerned with everyday life. Successful soaps may continue for many years, and because each episode has a self contained plot, it is possible for viewers to begin watching at anytime which is a big part of there appeal (Chandler, 1994). Reality television is a genre of television which presents unscripted dramatic or humorous situations, documents of actual events, and features “everyday” people as opposed to actors. There has been a current explosion of reality television since around 2000 (The Best of Television, 2005), with reality shows such as “American Idol”, “The Biggest Loser” and “Big Brother” getting the number one spots in television ratings. By 2007 Netflix introduced stream movies and TV shows from its members personal computers. The convenience of streaming has continued to make Netflix a highly valuable video company. “Netflix is the world’s leading Internet television network with over 57 million members in nearly 50 countries enjoying more than two billion hours of TV shows and movies per month, including original series, documentaries and feature films” (Netflix, 2015).
Your Influence Media is all around us in this day and age. Whether it be on billboards, in newspapers, magazines, television, radio or on the internet, media is virtually everywhere. With that, it is easy to say that people could have body image problems that are primarily influenced by the media. Statistics show that the average amount of hours a child watches television in a week is twenty eight hours per week. In this time, children are exposed to approximately 40,000 advertisements per year.
One reason Reality TV is considered bad for society is because it is mostly viewed by the younger generation which is easy to persuade by painting unrealistic and inappropriate portraits. A lot of explicit activity is being displayed as well as disrespect and crime to a certain extinct. Not to mention the number of hours reality shows are available in a twenty four hour period and the negative effect they are portraying creating promiscuous behaviors of family trends reflecting poor morals. Studies have showed since children are the easiest to manipulate as mentioned earlier, they are the biggest viewers. Not to say television is not the only contributor to negative development in children but it is a big one.
