Disaster Looking out the window I realised that the sky was darkening. Although the plane was being buffeted by harsh winds, I had the utmost confidence in the pilot, as he was none other than my father. The plane dropped suddenly making my stomach lurch. As my dad assured me and the other passengers that everything was fine the plane nosedived. People started panicking and screaming. Hearing the right wing of the aircraft being torn off, I succumbed to fear. I glanced out the window only to find the ground approaching at a startling speed. I tried to unbuckle my seatbelt but a suitcase hit me in the head and I blacked out. I woke up wondering where I was, and then it all came back to me, the plane crash, the chaos, everything. Feeling my head I was alarmed to find that it was covered in blood. Standing up I realised that the fuselage of the plane was balancing precariously on top of a cliff. Dead bodies and shrapnel flooded the bleak environment where we had crashed. Walking around, I saw the burnt corpse of my father. I slumped down and started crying. A hand came down upon my shoulder and I gasped with shock. Whirling around I found myself face to face with a muscular man with tattered clothes and a face covered with blood. “Are you ok?” asked the stranger. “Yeah, it’s just that this is my father,” I mumbled. “I’m sorry for your loss,” murmured the man with a look of sympathy on his face. “So are you the only other survivor?” I asked. “No, there are more. My name is Gordon. Come with me,” he replied. I stood up and followed Gordon. We walked around the wreckage and found a trio of people huddled together. Suddenly I heard something behind me. Looking around I saw a truck approaching us. We all jumped up and rejoiced thinking we were saved. Little did we know that things were going to get much worse.
