It does not only cover the aspects of worship but a huge part of al-Quran and Sunnah deal with the morals and values of humans. Islam offers a perfect system of morality that covers from issues of society to the issues regarding on the building of an impressive personality. All of these cannot be found in other religions, no matter how much they claim to have such system of morality. One of the personality building aspects of Islamic morals is the dining etiquette. We are always being exposed on Western and other Eastern dining etiquette; on how to use the dining utensils and so on. However, we as Muslims have our own dining etiquette. In addition, the culture and etiquette of Islam is strongly etched in every Muslim in Malaysia. Eating manners are very important since it is repeated many times every day. It must be done properly whether eating alone, with family, or with friends. So, by training oneself with proper dining manners, it will become a natural part of one’s behavior, and he or she will be at ease at the table.
