The line between using a performance enhancing drug and an acceptable supplement itself is hazier than people are generally willing to admit. Indeed, sports are made to be a competition, where each person stretches the limits of his or her abilities to achieve victory. On the surface then, it does not appear that performance enhancing drugs are in conflict with that objective. After all, as Thomas H. Murray pointed out in his essay, The Coercive Power of Drugs in Sports: “Caffeine can be considered a performance enhancing drug, even though it is used widely by Americans, be as it is in coffee, tea, cola or in an energy drink like Red Bull.” (Murray). Would anyone feel betrayed if his or her favorite baseball player confessed to drinking a pot of coffee before every game?
Gilead’s comparative study with Combivir, which currently holds the highest market share in Europe would be indicative of its superiority. Physicians would also be interested in clinical data indicative of better efficacy. Truvada not only demonstrated greater virological response but a better tolerance for the drug combination and better compliance to the treatment regimen. These are properties physicians would consider carefully given the chances of the virus developing resistance to a drug due to non-compliance by the patient. High level of adherence to the treatment regimen is a major requirement for the disease The FDA approval and uptake in the US market could also be used to promote Truvada.

To tell the truth, steroids just like pretty much everything else in this world, have pros and cons to it. To some athletes the pros outweigh the cons so they take steroids. For others it is the opposite. I am one of the others, I believe the cons outweigh the pros and athletes should not use steroids. People have heard of steroids and some of them know what they are or have a clue to what they are, but some just have no idea.
Whether or not these are all just side effects of better knowledge, better training, and improved diets, they also point to the use of performance enhancing drugs. The use of these products is not condoned by many people, but steroid users in professional sports are generally over judged due to the public’s lack of knowledge

Steroids can be available to the players illegally in a number of ways. The most common way is the smuggling of them into the United States from countries such as Mexico and many European countries where no prescription is required. When a baseball player is famous enough, a doctor in the United States may participate in the illegal prescription to the player. When taken illegally, steroids can increase muscle size, strength, endurance, reduce body fat, and aggressiveness. Steroids are also believed to reduce recovery time in between workouts, allowing a player to train harder more often.
