Regal Marine Industries is one of the leading manufacturers of luxury performance boats in the USA and established in 1969 (Regal Marine Website). It is family owned business and proudly sells a diverse range of high quality products to its customer. In order to ensure a solid placement of their products within the market, Regal Marine constantly takes a different innovative and or economic tactic. For instance, the highly innovative company is adding new features to the boats as new technologies develop. Customers even have the opportunity to design a completely individual boat. Integrating new features in a higher volume helps reduce the cost to the consumer which will further stimulate demand for that particular product. In order to maintain a steady stream of innovation Regal Marine constantly seeks appealing design input from their customers themselves, vendors and highly specialized consultants. 2. What strategy does Regal use to stay competitive? In order for Regal Marine to stay competitive and maintain their position within this industry the company uses a great customer relation strategy. The company remains in contact with every customer and is very responsive to their opinions and desires. It can be assumed that especially within the luxury boat scene, Regal Marine enjoys the benefits of word of mouth advertising.
