300 the first battle Scorching, the vivid sun sat in midst of the vast sky which took the colour of blood. Stampeding, the Persians caused the cliffs to tremble and shake. On looking birds were approaching the battle ready to witness the blood bath. Advancing, the Persians wore only simple cloths around there heads and light armour enabling them to be agile. Confident and fearless, the Spartans had only two thoughts on their minds glory and how many Persians they can kill before they die. Persian forces were in vast numbers and seemed like a formidable force that could conquer any enemy but for the mighty king Leonidas and his elite force of 300 hundred battle bred Spartans nothing was formidable. As the Persians were advancing, Leonidas gave out a last minute inspiring speech’’ THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM THEM! THIS IS WHERE THEY DIE’’! In a deep and powerful voice. King Leonidas and his Spartans were wearing dark, red clocks which made there muscular bodies visible. They also had iron boots which dug into the ground keeping a Spartan on his feet. There razor-sharp spears were deadly and light which helped a Spartan throw at long distance targets however the most important of them all is the shield which only a true Spartan holds, no one can pierce this shield. Positioned in a cave the Spartan force had the upper hand as the Persians could only attack from the front on the other hand the Persians were in huge numbers which could over run the Spartans. Respectfully, the Persian army gave way for their brave leader to speak up to the Spartans and lead them in battle. On his jet black horse rode through to the front of his army and ordered ‘’SPARTANS! LAY DOWN YOUR WEAPONS’’. There was silence making it clear the Spartans weren’t listening, when he was about turn he saw something in the air coming his way suddenly he knew what it was and the coward inside him
