Many imagine a place where they could go and get the perfect tans. Because many of them come to Hawaii with the stereotype of the weather, they are often very disappointed when it rains during their visit. They never imagined that it could rain in Hawaii. What many of them do not know is that some of the rainiest places in the United States are in Hawaii. A study done by the San Francisco based Weatherbill, Inc. listed Mobile, Alabama as the top rainiest city but went on to say, “Several cities in Hawaii and Alaska actually receive more than 100 inches of rain a year, but were not included in the studies”.
Elizabeth Navarro Composition 1 November 13, 2013 The “Natural” States California and Arkansas are two uniquely beautiful states that share more differences than similarities at first sight. I lived in Los Angeles, California until the age of ten and moved to Russellville, Arkansas. The scenery was a complete shock I had never experienced such a place such as Russellville. All my life I was accustomed to the life of a larger city, and now here I was in a little town in the middle of nowhere. Arkansas is known for being the “natural” state, but I believe California has much more than it’s beautiful scenery.
So, in this response, I will be assessing how Florida’s attractions affect the rate at which it’s coastline is becoming evermore crowded. Located in the extreme southeastern region of the United States, Florida comprises a peninsula surrounded by ocean on three sides. With close proximity to the Caribbean islands, Florida experiences a true tropical climate all year round, with temperatures peaking around 32°C at the height of summer. However, the average weather pattern chart shows that temperatures only dip from this by up to 8°C (in January). Also, a vast majority of months receive the maximum of 8/9 sunshine hours per day; so good weather isn’t restrictive to the summer months.
Informative Speech Outline Topic: California Specific Purpose: To inform the audience of 5 reasons why they should go visit California. Introduction Attention Getter: Imagine waking up to good weather everyday not to cold but not too hot it’s just right and you could do all the activities you want every day. What has led to coastalisation in Florida and why is it a problem? Florida, dubbed the Sunshine state because of its climate, is the southernmost state in the USA with facing the Atlantic Ocean to the east and includes over 10,000 km of water surface with more freshwater springs than anywhere else in the US. Florida’s coastline is a popular destination for tourism and migration. But why is Florida really the 4th most populous state in the US? For one, the annual average temperature is 72⁰F with a warm, sunny, mostly dry climate which is perfect for outdoor activities and going to the beach which is suitable for tourism.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii Hawaii is located in the Pacific Ocean, 20 degree North Latitude and 155 degrees West Longitude in the world. The Hawaii Island is 4, 028 sq. miles (10,430 km²).the Big Island of Hawaii 300,000 years old (and still enlarging now). Weather in Hawaii is very consistent, with only minor changes in temperature throughout the year. There are only 2 seasons: summer from May to October and winter from November to April.
Days above freezing and nights below −20 °C both occur in the winter. Spring and fall are variable, prone to extremes in temperature and unpredictable swings in conditions. Hot days above 30 °C have occurred as early as March or as late as October, although such events are unusual and brief. Annual precipitation averages around 940 millimetres. There are about 2130 hours of average sunshine
These two cities are opposite sides of the United States one in the north and one in the south; with that fact the most obliviously have different temperatures. The summer in Chicago can reach about 85 to 90 degrees, and Orlando can reach 90 to 100 degrees, but sometimes exceeds 110 degrees. Chicago has freezing winters with temperatures of 24 degrees and below. Orlando winters are much nicer with highs of about 72 degrees and lows of 50 degrees. I do love the snow in Chicago; however who does not love going to the Orlando waterparks in the
This is a less important human cause as it doesn’t affect how quickly water reaches the river. With large floods, no matter how well the rivers are dredged, it is still likely floods would occur. A physical cause of the Somerset level floods is that they occurred over winter months, but soil moisture recharge had already occurred in October. Any excess rainfall after October would be surplus and would not infiltrate. This was not helped by the fact there were 8 storms in just 2 months. Also, over 407 years there have been 4 major floods, the frequency being 101.5 years per flood.
