Maxim de Winter hates his wife very much as she was a profligate woman. Rebecca had secret relationships with many other men including ger cousin. She threatened de Winter and forced him to accept the situation and promised to play as a perfect wife. When she was diagnosed as cancer, she cheated de Winter by saying that she had a child with her cousin and almost made de Winter kill her. Through this movie you get to experience a variety of stories that are tied together with a centralized theme. I enjoyed the fact that the romance of the 50’s is still very true to romance of today although we have fallen far from the class and well-spoken poise that is Grace Kelly. The story then is still the same story now; the girl always wants the boy who doesn’t want her. In this case, the well-established socialite model wants the dirty photographer. It is the classic tale of “you want what you can’t have”.
Before the play even begins, the antecedent action includes Abigail and Proctor having an affair. Sex out of wedlock is a heinous crime and Abigail would be severely punished if ever found out, so the risk she takes tells of how starved she is for love. Similarly, Abigail continues to lust for Proctor even after the affair ends. In the seven months after she left the Proctor house, she convinces herself that Proctor does indeed love her. She makes herself believe that his wife, Elizabeth Proctor, stands in their way.

The interpersonal conflict that will be referenced to in this paper takes place with the main character Alex Hitchens (Will Smith) and Sarah Melas (Eva Mendas) were in a relationship. Sarah was a columnist for a gossip paper and was going to out the “date doctor” once and for all. Sarah did not know that Alex was the “date doctor”. Their relationship was fairly new and was progressing.
It does not matter how young or innocent one may look they can still deceive you. Abigail conveys deception by having an affair with John Proctor, another woman’s husband. Not only is this young girl witty, but she is a liar and extremely seductive as she says to Proctor "John, I am waitin' for you every night" (22 Miller). Soon after, John replies "Abby, I may think of you softly from time to time, but I will cut off my hand before I ever reach for you again" (23 Miller) Instead of letting him out of her mind, she continues to try and conquer Proctors heart.
