Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us this evening for our debutante ball. I have been looking forward to this day for a long time and we all have been counting down every day until tonight. We’ve come so far from the first week of Deb practice, we’ve made new relationships and new friends with people we didn’t speak to or know before such as Donna, Bec, Paul and Christian. Our group is an amazing bunch of people and we have all enjoyed spending time with one another at Deb rehearsals each week. At the first week of practice everyone was anxious as to how it would all play out and how everyone would go stepping out of their comfort zones. We soon learnt that everyone had energetic and outgoing personalities, making it easier for us to bond with each other. I clearly remember us all tripping over each other’s feet as Lorraine explained how to waltz although Lewis seemed to pick the dance up quite quickly and was a natural, Nadia was lucky to have him as a partner. Even though it was really sad to see Dijana leave for so long, we had lots of laughs mainly due to Nick and Zeke being the clowns of the group and always putting a smile on everyone’s face. Even though we lost a couple in week four, Nikki and John gladly joined our group and caught on fast with the dancing. Aisha and Chris always made Deb practice fun and enjoyed. Although Lorraine got jealous most of the time about how cute Ivana and Aidan were to each other, Aidan gave her a kiss on the cheek and made everything alright. Michelle had a head start from everybody else due to her dancing before the Deb so she had some experience, and Rhys liked to think did too. Our dance was easy for some but difficult for others like Jess with the struggle of having to stand on her tippy toes to look over David’s shoulder but in Courtney and Luke’s relationship the roles were reversed.
