Debating Illegal Immigration Trying to figure out an issue that has been affecting the United States for many years we ask ourselves does illegal immigration really affect our everyday lives? Although many of us have very different views about this issue it’s very hard to come to try and figure out what works best. Some of us come from families whose parents were illegal immigrants at one point and then became citizens of the United States. This is something that affects not only Latino families but many different races in the world trying to get into the United States illegally for a better life and a better future for our families. The truth is that we have added so many more border patrol agents to protect our borders all around the United States and still illegal immigrants continue to get into our country. Most of them just want to come to the United States and work some just want to raise enough money to take back home to build their own home and provide a better life for their families. We can argue that some crimes are committed by illegal immigrants but the truth is that it’s not just illegal immigrants who are committing crimes and it’s only a small percentage of illegal immigrants who commit these crimes for the simple fact that by being caught will most likely get you a ticket right back into your country that you came from and if you have family out here can cause you to not see them for a very long time. Adding more agents to our borders is not working I do think that it is important to secure our borders from people trying to bring drugs and weapons into this country but trying to…show more content…
Many illegal immigrants live amongst us right now that have been here for many years and have worked for company’s many years and have homes and cars and many luxury’s we have. They might be here illegally but they have everything we have. Why would we look at them and think that it’s not right or it’s not fair? By bettering ourselves and educating our children so that they can have a better life for themselves is the answer we should not teach that they are illegal but teach that they are part of this country also and we must accept them as normal human beings. Jobs will always be hard to get especially when so many of us apply for them we must push for a higher education that way when it comes down to picking an individual you know you are better than the rest of the others who applied. We must learn new languages to be able to better communicate with people who are not from this country jobs now days will pay more if you know several different languages. We may not find a solution to this problem in the near future and none of really know what the right answer is but trying to get rid of
