Computers did not exist in their generation, so they never learned to how to use them. The traditional students are more familiar with today’s technology, their knowledge is more advanced. Older students are better with reading and writing skills, due to experience and better education. Traditional students have better knowledge of computers, as they are taught in school. Traditional students are weak in reading and writing due to the “No Child Left Behind Act” implemented in 2001.
“Saving the babies, that was not practical. They were whacked against walls and trees of they were cut right away” (pg.107 of Machete Season online version on Google Play). Another Killer Adalbert re-accounts his first murder that he truly remembered when he murdered two Tutsi children with a gun. “I out the two children side by side… I stood still I shot twice at their backs… For me it was strange to see the children drop without a sound. It was almost pleasantly easy” (pg.
Many teachers do not like “catching plagiarists and bringing them to academic justice.” As she states, it is not hard to just cite the author that originally had the information you are using (Bojar). Plagiarism is becoming a big problem in the school system. Many students do not understand what needs to be cited and what does not. The school system should teach students the proper way to cite, and they should teach them that copy and pasting is not writing a paper. According Bojar to students at the community college have a hard time juggling classes along with his or her family and a job.
Metal Detectors are the Safe Way ! Many students and teachers question why are there metal detectors in school. Students also say having metal detectors are a waste of time and causes a lot of hold ups in the morning. However haven’t you noticed that most of the schools that have had shootings in the past were due to the lack of metal detectors ? don’t you think a couple of minutes you’d spend on a line for metal detecting may save the life of another school mate or even yourself?
There are very few computers for to many students. I believe that the solution to this problem will be to build more computer labs. In this way we can be able to do all assignment and school projects. Each semester, students have to deal with the fact to get textbooks for the classes that must be taken. This has become a real issue for many students because as the school library the textbooks are been sell at a very high cost that we cannot afford.
In 2005, the plant’s overtime costs were high and the trucks spent too much time waiting to unload the process fruit onto the dumpers. The reason was that the plant could process less fruit than it received resulting in holding bins that were always full leading to long waiting time for the trucks. Also, because of the increase in water harvesting of the cranberries, new schedules for operations had to be drawn up. Another issue was the grade selection of the berries. Half the grade 3 berries were actually grade 2B resulting in revenue and time loss.
Why make us hate school even more? Testing days are the worst. Somehow I feel more tired, even though i slept the same amount of hours the last few days, and my stomach just won't stay quiet. You have the urge to pee every hour. You try to make not a lot of noise somehow everyone still ends up staring as you walk out.
Although I go to a school with thousands of students, the fact that I was not able to communicate with anyone via technology was almost unbearable. "Being cut off from the wired world also meant being cut off from news and information -- not that any of them were regularly watching the news on TV, picking up a newspaper, listening to the news on the radio or visiting a news website. One student who failed the assignment and cracked open a laptop during the 24-hour-ban learned about the violent earthquake in Chile from "an informal blog post on Tumblr." Another student suddenly had less information than everyone else about a range of subjects, including sports and news and cultural references. One instructor said that after giving the kids a test, he noticed something.
• “Only 28 percent of students in grades 9 through 12 participated in daily school physical education in 2003, down from 42 percent in 1991.” – This is sad but I can also agree that this is 100% true. Even at school now, students just sometimes sit and do nothing while they are in a PE class and still get the credit. This is concerning because if we don’t get enough physical activity
My freshman year, I took geometry as my math elective and I often corrected the teacher and got sarcastic remarks in return. I never did my homework because test in the class summed up to 70% of the grade, so I decided to get A’s on the test and pass, and I did. Science and English were the worst. All the experiments we did were strictly control; we would proceed with a step until the teacher allowed us to do so. And English has become a subject of intimidation, the reason being that in my four years of high school English; we watch so many movies that I did not learn proper writing skills and proper communication skills.
