Such actions resulted in the creation of political parties; the biggest political parties are the Republican and Democratic parties. Though not always productive, these parties happened because a few people decided to take action for what they believed to be right. There are many instances in the United States where such actions have taken place, but in this essay we will focus on two: The Boston Tea Party and the current Tea Party Revolution. He opened their eyes to the ideals of democracy and the free world. He exhibited unbridled power and found that he too, like many before him, wanted to rule the world. B. John Locke, an Enlightenment thinker, highly influenced the Declaration of Independence. He mentioned that he believed there were natural rights that all people had life, liberty and property. The Founding Fathers added that in the Declaration of Independence (Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness). Another idea Locke had was that if a ruler was oppressing his people, the people had the right to rebel. For Jefferson to write the Declaration it was considered treason, but he wrote in the
The Demise of Democracy 1. Since the dawn of man, humans have appointed rulers and leaders to govern and guide society and to enforce rules specific to society. Throughout history, political and social leaders have been revered, feared, and sometimes even worshiped. Politics have inspired the rise of many a great leader (Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill) and some leaders who created atrocious legacies for their society (Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin). In their Jeffersonian and Jacksonian Democracy they had a lot of political, economic, social, and religious beliefs. Each formed their own democracy that helped shape the way the government is today. To begin, there were such huge numbers of various thoughts that came into play making the Constitution of the United States. The Founding Fathers brought a significant number of various types of government for our new nation becoming free from Britain. They needed to improve an administration than what Britain was. The Enlightenment ideas from political philosophers were used by other founding fathers as a means to motivate others for the Revolution. After the Revolution, James Madison also used ideas of Enlightenment philosophers to construct the United States Constitution. Philosophers, like Montesquieu, Voltaire, and Rousseau, all had a great influence in the making of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.

Natural law is one of the most major philosophical and political influences on the Declaration of Independence. Many people interpret the natural law in extremely different ways. Thomas Hobbes believed man cannot survive in a “natural state” without rule or government. He believed it was the government’s job to tightly enforce the people or the people would turn to chaos. Locke believed the power of the government came from the people and if the people are not happy with government actions then they have every right to overthrow the government.
As shown by Documents C and G, Jackson overstepped his Constitutional bounds in each of situation, that of the closure of the Second Bank of America, and that of the Indian Removal. If, as in Documents A and F, a particular section of society needs to fight against the majority, the Constitution, which is designed to provide for public happiness, is being somewhat ignored or misused. Another idea we’ll consider is that they were champions of political democracy. This is a two-sided issue. As compared to their predecessors and contemporaries, they were most certainly the more democratic party.
