-Supporting people to exercise their rights-the rights of people are protected by law and in particular by the Human Rights Act 1998.Sixteen basic human rights have been incorporated into UK law. These rights protect everyone from harm, and set out what we can say and do, as well as our right to fair trial and other basic entitlement. We as care workers have an important role in upholding people’s rights. -Supporting people to exercise choices. Choice is not only for people who can speak for themselves.
Having this in place ensure that there are guidelines to my role of what must and must not be done it is important to obey by these to ensure the job is done properly. I must know how different policies and procedures in my setting are used in my work setting to ensure they have an impact on my work role. Following them carefully I can ensure that I am working to the expected legal and regulatory standards. It is the key law affecting the health and safety rights and responsibilities for everybody in my workplace. These standards are set out for certain values and principles to ensure that it will help children to develop thrive and grow.
It is pivotal to develop a good rapport with the staff and build a trusting relationship otherwise the supervision is not effective. During my supervision, I ask the staff routinely if they have any concerns regarding safeguarding, health and safety concerns. Any issues around safeguarding and health and safety are treated with high importance and I act on them immediately. I believe this protects and prevents any major accidents or incidents to happen. For instance, Beddoe believes that the purpose of the professional supervision from an employer perspective is to ensure public protection.
They enable you to provide a good quality service working within the legal framework and most importantly aim to keep you and the individuals you support, safe from danger or harm. To implement agreed ways of working you follow the Policies and Procedures and the service users care plan, where the management of the individual's daily care needs are agreed and documented. It is extremely important to have up to date agreed ways of working as there may be changes in policies within the law. Our company may have to implement them to help protect the vulnerable. You have a duty to keep service users safe by following policies, procedures and working within your job role.

It is important to have up-to-date agreed ways of working as there may be changes in policies within the law and the company may have to implement these policies to help protect the vulnerable. There is a duty to keep service users safe by following policies, procedures and working within your job role. Each job title entails particular duties and responsibilities.
This is essential in order to safeguard the children within our setting. We only hold information about the children that is important for us and their personal welfare. For example this can include, medication records, allergies, parents and full names. When information needs to be passed on and shared with other professionals then we need to ensure that we are complying with the data protection act. This act sets out clear guidelines which can be followed effectively in order to make sure that individuals private information does not get obtained by unnecessary people.
I will be evaluating the regulation of care provisions by explaining the role and responsibility of each regulator. There are different types of regulators such as; OFSTED the Office for Standards in Education, CQC Care Quality Commission & HCPC Health and Care Professional Council. OFSTED regulates and inspects many types of provisions such as childcare and children’s social care, schools, colleges and the children and other learning based organisations. This organisation reports directly to the parliament as they are dependent from the government OFSTED also inspect services from looked after children and you people ensuring each child is safe and protected within education by making sure schools and other provisions working with children are meeting standards including safeguarding policies and child protection. This regulator is important as they ensure teachers training are kept up to date, to allow children and young people the ability to gain the best education possible, meeting and providing for individual needs/requirements.
In this lens it is taught to focus on the processes, and the systems needed for an ethical organization. The difference between the first two lens discussed is that the Right and Responsibility Lens, and the Results lens focused on the individual, the Relationship lens focuses on the community. However in the relationship lens it has a few more concerns, such as how to protect the basic liberties of all people. These liberties are broken down into rights such as; The right to notice, The right to voice, not to veto, The right to have contracts honored. The Relationship Lens helped influence my decision by giving us a process by which basic liberties can be protected.
Understanding the need for discipline in the Uniformed Public Services In this assignment I will be explaining the need for the role of discipline within the Uniformed Public Services and also the importance of discipline. I will be backing this up with case studies and my knowledge to explain why orders need to be followed, the consequences of lack of discipline and the effect it has on social order. Discipline is used to set rules for individuals to follow to keep them in line, if rules are then broken discipline should be used to punish the individual(s) in consequences for their actions. By enforcing discipline it creates a sense of authority, courage and confidence. Discipline is necessary in all of the Public Services as it moulds
