Culture Crisis Effects on Education Culture crisis can be observed in many levels. However, it has affected the educational system universally. Violence in United States high schools, prostitution in Thailand, rape in India, etc., are just a few examples of human beings harming each other or themselves due to culture crisis on education. “The purpose of the state is to educate the people -- to make them virtuous. Virtue is the life principle of the state. The goal of the state is to educate with a view toward its own institutions (to preserve them) - political education of all citizens” (179, Davidson). Unfortunately, worldwide economic decline have failed to pay sufficient attention to the significance crisis that has been going for the poor and their education in many escalating societies. However, there are societies adopting different educational systems that have provided children an environment to gain knowledge in unique practices. Countries such as Switzerland or India have different values that have set norms for their societies to teach younger generation their culture/history. For example, in Switzerland they have adopted a community that has brought many students from all over the world to study different subjects and experience a unique relationship with one another. The classes have no more than ten students. The students are very close and happy to experience such a close relationship with their teachers and classmates. The School of Humanity in Switzerland most importantly teaches every student to become modest, genuine, kind, loving, caring and helpful individuals. It has adopted a humanistic environment where each student follows his or her dreams. On the other hand, poverty in some countries has affected many young children education. In rural India young children between the ages of eight and twelve years old spent most of their time on train
