He had the firm for seventeen years, along with a partner by the name of Wantabe. Wishing to avoid disgrace, Wantabe killed himself. It isn't until the brother talks to his sister, Kikuko, when the brother finds out that Wantabe killed not only himself, but “he took his whole family with him. His wife and his two little girls.” The brother replies, “Father was just telling me how Wantabe was a man of principle.” The father reassures the son throughout the story about how much he idolized Wantabe. He mentions that “Wantabe was very devoted to his work” and that he was “a man of priniciple and honour.

The girl is to become the offended party's new wife. The boy, Ikemefuna, is to be sacrificed, but not immediately. Ikemefuna lives in Umuofia for three years, and during that time he lives with Okonkwo.

Ikemefuna Character Analysis Ikemefuna is a fifteen-year-old boy from a neighboring clan, Mbaino, who is given up to Umuofia as a sacrifice for killing one of the women of Umuofia. He lives with Okonkwo’s family for three years before the elders order him to be killed. In those three years, he grows very close to Okonkwo's family, especially Nwoye. Okonkwo even prefers him to his true son Nwoye, considering Ikemefuna to be a promising, hard-working young man. His murder, in which Okonkwo takes a part, haunts Okonkwo throughout the book.
Family and women are fundamental parts of both movies, but on very different grounds. In the Spiderman movie, Peter lives with his aunt and uncle, as his parents died when he was juvenile. Could it be possible that Gein and Dahmer were born this way? Ed Gein was born in 1906; he was the son of a violent alcoholic father and a fanatically religious mother. He grew up along side his older brother in a house ruled by their mothers puritanical preaching about the sins of lust and carnal desire. She drummed into her boys the innate immortality of the world, the evil of drink and the belief that all women (besides herself, of course) were whores. Gein’s mother decided to move her family to a farm in a desolate location, and she was sure to block any attempts her boys made to pursue friendship.
In this gothic novel, the main character is executed on his wedding day and his father believes he has the right to marry his son’s fiancé and produce another son since his own son was taken from him.
