Some may begrudge a colleague for doing a task a certain way because they think it is wrong but in another culture it is considered acceptable . Our life experiences have most likely affected the way we think about people and we all have our own personal like and dislikes too .All this can have a significant effect on how we think of things. It is unlikely that we can
It helps to keep one’s mind fresh and with new ideas on how to deal with issues which I face during my sessions with a client. Self-awareness develops over a period of time and with experience. With time one can learn strategies to help in the development of self awareness so that personal thoughts and experiences does not affect this. Knowledge that is gained through personal experience can sometimes be a barrier when working but if one is personally aware of this, it helps to remove any barrier. It also question one’s own personal values, awareness and beliefs.
"Literary Analysis-"I Am Joaquin" Preserving one’s cultural identity is a struggle for certain people. This can typically mean that the person would be constantly be under great scorn by others in a different society due to negative views and therefore force lose knowledge of who they are. The theme of "I Am Joaquin" by Rodolfo Gonzalez is that you should be proud of your culture because it is part of your identity and should be your duty to maintain it for yourself and others. This can be justified by how it affects the future generations, the process of revolutions, and the general resolution for other obstacles that would still remain. People know about their culture through families or other significant people.

While the Nacrima’s practices seem strange to us, as Miner has written about them, cultural relativism is an important practice in our daily lives. While we do not have to necessarily accept a certain cultures norms and values or perhaps they are vastly different from our own belief system, to be less rigid of other cultural norms allows us to be more understanding or even empathetic of other

Many people may be afraid to be inconsistent because they fear others will fear they are being dishonest. They have an opinion on something one day, and then the next it is changed. Some can see this as being dishonest and many people in society fear this.
We care mostly because we’re scared. We’re worried about how others will perceive us. This constant worrying lowers our self-confidence. We are so concerned about others’ opinions of us that sometimes we lose ourselves in the process. We’ll act how we expect other people to act, and in doing so we aren’t true to ourselves.
In order to build positive relationships with other individuals we must show respect and courtesy, from the simple ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to listening to peoples points of views; this is particularly important to remember when communicating with people from different cultures who may have other beliefs and values. By taking time to remember someone’s name or how they should be addressed and by using warm tones of voice especially with children and young adults, courtesy and respect provide a good foundation to agreeable relationships. Being considerate is also an important factor when building positive relationships – having empathy and trying to understand other’s situations. For instance, there are times when we are all under some form of pressure and act out of character or respond in a way that may be offensive. It’s during such times, that there is a need to understand what may have caused such a response and to be empathic to the person’s individual situation.
“A Rose For Emily” has had a profound impact on me. Though the story made me sad, it also served in uplifting my intellectual reasoning and understanding of the current state surrounding us. The situation in the world today is quite discouraging especially to those who do not make rational decisions early enough in their lives. We, therefore, need to reason first before taking any
I believe that listening to others and being able to put yourself in their shoes in order to understand what they might be feeling is very critical. It then becomes easier to help them manage those feelings and their experiences. It is also important to understand what is happening in that person's life, so it is good to be perceptive in order to notice patterns, dynamics, and other things that serve as clues for helping that person. I believe that I am very perceptive in my relationships with other people. In my opinion, it is also essential to have a sense of humility and I truly strive to always remain humble.
