Still today, Kanan has to push through these troubles to be a game changing player on the soccer field. It was the first game of kanan’s sophomore year soccer season; he was a starter on the team playing right midfield when out of blind sight he collided with an opposing player. “I was running as fast as my body would let me”, said Kanan. “The only thing I was focusing on was winning the ball.
Angus Morrissey – Past Experiences/Player Resume Profile: Age: 12 Team: Northern Tigers Position: Winger Foot: Right Foot Strengths: 1 v 1, finishing, speed, strength and first touch Club Football: I started off at West Pymble in Under 6’s and played right through to Under 12s. West Pymble Football Club provided me with very good coaching which was essential in my development as a footballer. It wasn’t until Under 12s until I really knew my potential as a footballer. My coach that year was a guy called Greg Fuchs. Greg was a former Australian Schoolboy player who played in the same team as the likes of Liverpool star Harry Kewell and Luke Wilkshire who both played for Australia.
It may be a cliché, but soccer was my life growing up! In Bob Greene’s essay “Cut”, he explains how being cut from a basketball team in 7th grade made him feel, and how it shaped him into the person he is today. He describes the feeling of inadequacy by not being good enough. Bob Greene portrays how that event made him stronger, “never to allow someone to tell me that I’m not good enough again” (Miller, “Cut” 86). As a young child, I lived my life to play soccer.
Also, Starkey faces a lot of judgment from his parents that he tries to overcome throughout the novel. A similar situation in my life where I had to overcome someone’s judgment was in soccer. We were predicted to get fifth in the district and no one had any hope for our team, but we just got first in our region and are now headed out to the state
Before my dad past, Joseph was respectful. He was a very dedicated soccer player and most likely could have followed that skill to the professional league. Whenever he got out of hand he was set straight and he knew he had to graduate from high school and go to college. Once there was no longer the “father” in the house, it was like Joseph lost all hope. He lost his motivation to become the person he’s wanted to be.
Craddock Cup April 10, 2012 April 19, 2013 MEMORANDUM To: Board of Directors, Craddock Youth Soccer League (CYSL) From: Jose Rivaldo, General Manager Subj: Recommendations for future CYSL Craddock Cup tournaments This past year’s tournament was considered a great success by the players, their families and the local community. However, the tournament has failed to meet CYSL expectations to generate $6000 to be used toward the goal of soccer field acquisitions. Financial statements for this past year’s tournament show a net loss of $3698, this is due to a combination of tournament structure and deceptive accounting. Currently, the tournament operates as a net loss because our sources of revenue simply do not bring in enough money to cover our expenses. I recommend that we double the number of teams participating in the tournament by including a middle-school bracket for both boys and girls.
FILE MEMORANDUM PREPARED BY: Eric Hebner DATE: February 16, 2012 RE: Cost and Pricing Analysis for The Craddock Cup PROBLEMS FACED: The Craddock Cup is a high school soccer tournament sponsored by the Craddock Youth Soccer Club. This tournament is generally seen as a success by the participants, spectators, and by the community. When the tournament began the league was expecting a $6000 profit when in actuality the tournament expenses were growing quicker than the revenues. These losses are starting to frustrate the board members and because of this manager Jose Rivaldo may have to cancel the tournament or worst case scenario he could lose his job. FINANCIAL DATA/REFLECTION: The first thing that needs to be looked when looking
Some of them were the Cold War with the Soviet Union, the gas shortage that was going on at the time, and President Carter coming into office under difficult circumstances. The movie Miracle shows all that was going on prior to and during the Olympic games in 1980. The movie is primarily about a coach, Herb Brooks taking over the U.S. Hockey team which had had its troubles over the past twenty years. He took over the team who for the first time was using college players for the Olympics. The team was mostly made up of players from Boston University and the University of Minnesota, which the players from those schools didn’t like each other at first because of a college rivalry.
In November of 1998, “2pac’s Greatest” was released, a greatest hits album containing six new songs. The songs were said to have been recorded before Tupac’s death, however one of the songs references the film Armageddon, which was not out while he was still alive. Another song on the same album congratulates the Denver Broncos for winning the 1998 Super Bowl, which took place while he was supposedly in his grave. When his album “R U Still Down?” came out in November of 1997, three videos were also released. When suspicious arose, Tupac’s manager claimed, “Tupac was a forward-thinking man.
I felt that the only way to prove this guys wrong was to win against him, so I accepted his challenge. We planned to play a week after I accepted his challenge. The whole week everyone was telling me that I cannot beat him, and he was going to destroy me. Then the game day came , we played at the local YMCA for a game to 21. the game was close, but at the end I pulled out the victory. An example of this would be like the kid who was in a car accident.
