Criminology AJS225 Glendale Community College Criminal Minds Essay Sherry Bright ABSTRACT I am writing this essay as my interpretation of the popular television series “Criminal Minds.” I chose this particular episode “True Genius” because of it’s well done representation of the unsolved serial killer we all know as the Zodiac killer. This episode followed closely the evidence and the M.O. of the Zodiak killer case. “People like me don’t come from films. The marriage and the move were a huge threat to Caleb, for he would forever lose his soulmate. The idea was that Caleb could get Harvey interested once again in the love they shared in solving the case of the Zodiac killer, and would get Harvey to live up to their boyhood dreams by keeping the secret of the murder of the boy, and killing the girl that stood in the way of him and Harvey being a team again. Caleb went to great lengths to ensure Harvey’s loyalty. Harvey was not involved in these killings, but he was the brain child in the murder of the boy. They had cracked the case, it was a victory for the team and a real bummer for the bride to be who was at the scene of arrest when all the secrets came out. It was a complicated case and the profilers did have some very “out there” conclusions, like maps out of chess moves etc. All in all it was a great episode. As far as the show in general, most of the shows are based on or make reference to real cases. They exaggerate here and there and sometimes come up with conclusions that leave you saying
