Culture does not make a difference for me when it comes to meeting people. When I first moved to this country and I didn’t speak the language I really appreciated those who took the time to get to know me, and were patient with me. I remember them and a lot of them are still in my life for the simple fact that they accepted me even though I was a stranger to their culture. I would be a straight up loser if I did not accept or tolerate people from other cultures, since I am different myself. I do consider myself open minded.
In Annie Dillard’s essay, Living Like Weasels, she states the difference between our lives as humans and the kind of life weasels live. She talks about how humans make their own decisions while weasels do anything they do because of instinct. People should live mindlessly and conform their necessities instead of making choices their whole life. To begin with, Dillard argues that people are not living the right way and they should change their form of living. People are always making decisions, even when they don’t need to.
But the youngster, only think about the positives. I want to introduce to youngster and adult that why technology is good and bad and I will talk about the benefits of it and i will most focus on the positive side of technology. B. Context 1. Student would use technology for them to catch up with the world and we have to know about it since we don’t have a chance to get away with it.
For example some things are able to control is our opinions which result to the emotions we build that result in our over all reaction. We also have control and power over the way we feel, to achieve happiness, and peace in our life by altering our mind in every situation in life that we come across. Epictetus also explains the difference between good and evil through philosophy in stating that good is what we desire and as for evil is something to be avoided because it is
The whole world population can be divided into two categories based on how people view the world as people with scarcity mindset and those who have abundance mindset. Scarcity mentality is the cause behind all fear based actions whereas abundance mentality is what gives rises to the actions that are based on love. Both type of thinking is actually two sides of the same coin, it is not necessary that you will fall into one category based on your thoughts about one particular area or phase of your life, we all accept one of these mindsets depending on our life situations, but by knowing it you can deliberately get to the right side by changing your attitude towards life. Feelings of lack of love, money, good health, etc. keeps on affecting our
You can’t quite believe how much time is wasted by people trying to impose their views on others. Wouldn’t we all be more productive if we kept our opinions in check and instead looked for consensus and support? You believe we would, and you live by that belief. When others are sounding off about their goals, their claims, and their fervently held opinions, you hold your peace. When others strike out in a direction, you will willingly, in the service of harmony, modify your own objectives to merge with theirs (as long as their basic values do not clash with yours).
It is hazardous for our society and it is hazardous for your happiness. It is only in learning to think for yourself that will lead you to true happiness. What is conformity? People’s attitudes and beliefs become influenced by other people as part of the process of conformity. It can take many forms, either something that happens quite openly like peer pressure or it can be a more subtle influence that takes place over a number of years.
It is a person's psychological and social qualities that characterize humankind, especially in contrast with other living things (Collins; 2009). These characteristics are what sets the world apart and makes each one of us unique. With a person's ability to act freely, each person moves and responds to the world differently. There is no limitations set that can control a person except the way that society wants us to act. However, there will always be a struggle between human nature and society because a human will forever have the ability to act beyond their own means.
The paper will show both positive and negative results that relate to the author's own insights and individualization. This paper will also discuss the criticisms of this theory and the individuals need for self-actualization. Along with this discussion will be a brief description of two of the influential founders of this theory. Humanistic theory is a theory of its own caliber and has raised the standard in psychoanalysis and behaviorism while focusing more realistically on human behavior. Humanistic psychology is young compared to the age of other approaches and theories, but very different in the basis that the approach focuses on individual control and free will or choices and steers away from the ideas that all human behavior is based around pleasure.
When I reflected on this, what comes to my mind is my struggle with loneliness. Humans all live masking their shame, trying to suffocate their temptations all by themselves. The problem, though, as we were created to do it all by ourselves to be truly human is to truly know someone who hides can't be. no we are created to meet each other--To be honest with each other, to encourage each other, and to love each other, and that only happens when we are open with each other. Isn’t it sad that we are currently living in a time where we can find what our friends did today or even ate, but we are also the most disconnected the most fragmented?
