Everyone wants to save money, and they can do that by shopping at Walmart, where many items are the lowest price in town, even if it's only by a few pennies. But consumers aren't helping their fellow countryman earn his own living by buying these imported items.
Wal-Mart does not care about the American economy because they are thriving the way the economy is now, so American citizens have to stand up for their communities. The extra amount of income could be used to help the well being of the country and to provide more public goods. Also, cigarettes are a demerit good, a good which is considered unhealthy or damaging in some and can be physically harmful to the consumer and other surrounding, so when price increases, demand will fall. Even if it is a small fall in demand, it is most likely to be for the young smokers to demand since they have less income than adults. If more young smokers quit, the healthier the next generations will be since smoking is a main reason behind a lot of health issues including lung
The money being used to make pennies could be made for other, more useful, things such as buying supplies for schools or helping the homeless. With the cost of penny making going up, the price of everything else has gone up along with it. Because of the growing and evolving economy, no longer does something cost a penny (Source C). Due to the inconvenience, most cashiers become frustrated when someone tries to pay for something with pennies. Although, by eliminating the penny, prices would either have to rounded up or down, but this could be a “win-win” for both the consumer and the corporate businesses.

Honest shoppers now fall into the same mistrust category as shoplifters because they cannot be distinguished easily from one another by the retailer. If a store has to close down because they can’t make any money then that cuts jobs. One store may not seem like a big difference, but when stores are closing every day because they can't maintain a stable business because of shoplifters it changes a lot for families everywhere.
Therefore, company A needs to stop making this product. Although we can argue that if company A could reduce the cost dramatically, it can become profitable. However, as the demand of its headphones is shrinking and there are so many suppliers (due to low barrier of entry), there will be great price pressure on the product, as explained by William F.
