politics and corruption can be interchanged invariably. they being 2 entirely different words in literal sense ,one reflecting governmnent of india and other an illegal behaviour ,combined together form the GOVERNMENT OF INDIA. our government being the live n biggest example of corruption in INDIA. Corruption in high places has become the order of the day. In the blind pursuit of power, – what matters is the result, not the means. The Indian society in all its entirety is corrupt to the core, and now corruption is like a drug, without which the addict finds it difficult to survive. Transparency International survey on the Corruption Perception Index for 178 countries showed that India is on Position 87 with an Index of 3.3. From being a corporation minister of a locality to the highest level telecom minister, everyone is involved in corruption , with tellecommunication being rated as the second most corruption prone sector in india, in limelight in recent months due to 2g scam. For centuries saints and sages have urged the people to eliminate graft and corruption from private as well as public life; there have been countless sermons against this deep-rooted menace that has eaten into the vitals of society, distorted all values and made mincemeat of morality, truth and virtue. Most of pur politicians and legislators indulge in it without any qualms of conscience.The great philosopher and reformer Edmund Burke warned the world in the 18th century that corrupt influence, which is itself the perennial spring of all prodigality and of all disorder; which loads us, more than millions of debt; which takes away vigour from our arms, wisdom from our councils and every shadow of authority and credit from the most vulnerable parts of our Constitution is a fast growing evil. why and how this monster of corruption has taken such a firm hold on India so much so
