Eric B. Hare was an incredible model for missionaries. He was excited about what he was doing. He and his wife embodied adaptability to the culture of Burma and the Karen people, the daily living conditions, the needs of the people they were serving, local politics and the war. He also used humor by calling himself Dr. Rabbit. He built uniqueness into his ministry of Jesus to the people with music and his band.
In A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, Ishmael Beah writes about his experiences during the civil war in Sierra Leone. As a child, Ishmael was in a rap and dance group with his brother, Junior, and his two friends, Talloi and Mohamed. Ishmael loved learning the lyrics to songs because he thought they were poetic and improved his vocabulary. After Ishmael, Junior, and Talloi arrived in Mattru Jong for their friend’s talent show, they hear that the rebels attacked their village, Mogbwemo. They return to Mattru Jong, where the rebels capture Junior and some of the other children.

The actions and concerns of the great Allen have an impact still on the students and visitor of KU not just in the field house, but also throughout the campus. People who take a tour of the campus are instantly greeted and introduced to the legend of the Phog. People who attend the University of Kansas are either told of the story of Allen and his legend as one of the greatest leaders, coaches, and friends.

The movie is about a high school cross country team attempting to win another state championship under the leadership of Coach Joe Newton. The movie shows not only how important a team’s motivation and goals are, but also how important individual’s goals and abilities are to the team. The movie shows many examples of the organizational behavior concepts we have discussed in class such as motivation and how it can affect a team, goal setting, and personality of the teammates. Washington has been a notable: Father, mentor/advisor, and track coach to me. Mr. Washington was one of the main people that introduce the sport of track and field fully to me at a later stage in my life. The reason Mr. Washington introduced me to the sport was because he saw my talent initially in basketball. He saw that not only did I have pure speed. But also my talent would enable me to be good at more than one event in track.

This technique brought a lot of critics that bad mouth his way of approaching a patient. They claim it was unprofessional and say it could cause a liability to their doctors if something ever went wrong. Patch ignored the criticism and continued his work of making people laugh. However, one of Patch’s biggest problems is Dean Walcott. Dean Walcott was in charge of all his students and employees.
However, even though the government had finally taken a step to stop this injustice, blacks were still discriminated from daily activities and unable to coexist peacefully. Dr. King led numerous boycotts, demonstrations, and speeches that resulted in outlawed acts of segregation from daily activities such as riding the bus, going to school, or getting a job. He tirelessly worked to change the mindsets of society so that people could successfully “[walk] the earth like brothers.” In that simple yet profound quote, Dr. King is able to capture the success of America’s progression technologically but the epic failure of America’s progression as a society. The media reporting this caught the images of the horrific scene and everyone was keeping up with what Martin Luther King was doing in Birmingham. The jails became too full and the police were unsure of what to do at this point because they were afraid of the riots that would break out eventually. They decided to desegregate public areas such as lunch counters, and also hired more people of color. This was a victory of King’s because it showed that their protest was a success.
