A Bill to Reallocate Funding to Schools in Low- Socioeconomic Areas BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The Department of Education shall refocus funds in order to give K-12 schools in low socioeconomic areas more money to focus on improving test scores and overall performance of students. SECTION 2. Low socioeconomic areas shall be defined by the parent’s overall education level, the parent’s income and/or working student’s income attending the school. SECTION 3. This bill will be overseen by the Department of Education. SECTION 4. This law will take effect within six months of passage. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. Respectfully Submitted, Jordan McCrary, Dreyfoos School of the Art A Bill to Improve the Quality of American Detention Centers BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The United States Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement shall receive an additional 600 million dollars of funding for the expansion and improvement of detention centers over the next three years. SECTION 2. Expansion and improvement shall be defined as the construction of new detention centers and an increase of supplies, such as but not limited to proper beds, room facilities, and basic necessities. SECTION 3. The Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Homeland Security shall oversee the implementation of this legislation. SECTION 4. This bill shall be implemented immediately. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby
