Just by walking through the street there are numerous people being passed that originate from different religious backgrounds and beliefs. Some religions become more noticeable based on the way an individual maybe dressed. Jewish men wear yarmulkes in their religion and in the Muslim religion the women are recognized due to the way they are dressed. They may wonder about the concept of their dress code and may wonder where their dress code plays in their religion. These are a few questions a person from a different religious background may ask. Some believe that Muslim women are forced to dress that way. They tend to believe the men force the Muslim women to dress hide their bodies. This opinion is made due to the ignorance of the Muslim religion. Muslim women use this dress code not only for religious purposes but for moral conduct as well. There are several parts to the Muslim women dress code. The dress cover that the Muslim women wear is called a Hijab. It’s also called the veil, purdah or just a head covering. There are conditions for the Muslim women dress code. The jilbab (the outer garment) is supposed to conceal the entire body, only hands and face may remain visible. They also are obligated to wear a khimar also identified as the headscarf. They are required to wear the khimar during certain events in their life. Material worn cannot be seen through and their everyday clothes cannot be visual. The jilbab is required to hang loose and no body shape can be visual. The jilbab must not resemble men’s clothing and clothing of non religious women. The jilbab cannot have any bold designs or be made out of bright color. By wearing bold colors or having any bold designs on the jilbab, it makes a woman
