Project Focus Final Reflection Throughout all of my research for this career, I have learned a lot that I didn't know before. Within the year long project, I was obliged to conduct a research paper, interview someone who specialized in the career, put together a math component on a tri-fold board, and prepare for a timed oral presentation. All of this has contributed to my new knowledge of the computer technician career. Some of the information stuck out and was more memorable than others, but it all came in handy and was useful. Some thing about the career itself I learned was that it was a broad subject and there are many jobs within computer careers. There are so many different titles, workplaces, and levels to go to within this field. The specific career I picked was to be a computer technician. This is because I have had problems on computers in the past and have gotten out of almost all of them. I figure if I like it, and I’m pretty good at it, then maybe this could be my future. My love for computers grows stronger as they adapt. As they evolve, it’s almost like having a robot on your lap, not a laptop. They can do so many things it’s remarkable. Getting back to what I learned, this field is expanding but yet this particular job is doing the opposite. As computers get more futuristic, software will be the thing fixing them, not computer technicians. Also, the price for most computers has gone down tremendously from when they were a new thing. People now a days will go out and buy a better, newer computer rather than spend almost that amount of money in fixing and repairing it. This is why I have come to the conclusion that if I want to be this, I would rather do it part time. Having this just as an on the side job of another career would be great, and that’s probably what I’m going to
