In total, Guion Bluford has bachelors, two masters and a doctor’s degree. The first time he got interested in being an astronaut was in 1979. I think Guion Bluford was interested in this career because the things he majored in in college were similar to the career of an astronaut. For instance, before he was an astronaut, he was already an engineer. Then, one of his jobs was to actually design and build machines that astronauts needed to use.
Education He attended elementary and high school in Plains. In 1943 he began the naval academy at Annapolis. He graduated fifty nine in a class of 820 in June 1946. JFK uses anaphora to grab the readers attention as he says, “...rode the first waves of the industrial revolution, the first waves...the first waves...” President Kennedy presents the use of anaphora to show the U.S.A's success and power. The use of repetition in the form of anaphora enforces upon the reader that our country has been the leader in new inventions in the past and will continue to be in the future if our space program is extended. Ellis received his Master of Science degree at Yale University. After receiving his Master's Robert Ellis taught at Tennessee A&I. Robert Ellis then went to earn his doctorate at the University of Iowa. Robert Ellis was head of experimental projects at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory up until 1956. Upon obtaining his PhD, Ellis returned to Tenessee A&I as a professor a few years before joining in the year 1956 a group working on controlled fusion, Project Matterhorn in Princeton.

According to the New York Times Stevens played a huge role during his time of service, “During World War II, Justice Stevens served as a Navy cryptographer at Pearl Harbor for more than two years.” After three years served in the Navy Stevens retired. After the war Stevens went back to school where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Northwestern University School of Law.
