National Center for Education states that only 59% of first time students graduate from college within six of their bachelors program. The remaining 41% of students either graduate later or decide to drop out. But as previously stated working smarter is the new trend, so how can people get around or tackle college expenses? Choosing a college is a lot like buying a car. Each car brand just applies different features, aesthetics or just slaps their name on it because of their credentials.

Outliers Chapter 2 In this chapter of Outliers, Gladwell tells the stories behind the success of Bill Joy, Bill Gates, and the Beatles. He opens the chapter talking about the University of Michigan’s newly constructed state of the art computer center and how Bill Joy, one of today’s legendary programmers, happened to stumble across it. He uses this as an introduction to continue strengthening the argument he made in the previous chapter. Adding on to his argument that successful people are the beneficiaries of extraordinary opportunities, he talks about how in order to master a skill, one must practice for at least ten thousand hours. He goes on to say that luck also plays an integral role because you have to be doing the right thing at the right time.

Unit 2 Assignment 1: Computer Shopper Robert Theiss Choosing the right computer to use for a profession can be a tough decision for a lot of people. Should you purchase a notebook or desktop can be big factor on how well you are able to do your job. I am gonna go in to 3 different professions and state my opinion on which model between notebooks and desktops can suit you better for your daily activities. The first profession I am choosing to discuss is that of a Recruiter especially because I did this job for 10 years and feel I have a very good knowledge on this subject. Without a doubt a notebook is going to suit a recruiter the best for there job but make sure that a lot of RAM is available and your processing speeds are fast as a recruiter is gonna be completing a lot of paperwork off the internet.

Table 1 lists some common types of programs, the types of input that they accept, and the output that they produce. Machine language is a set of instructions executed directly by a computer's central processing unit (CPU). Each instruction performs a very specific task. Every program directly executed by a CPU is made up of a series of such instructions.
There are many ways Microsoft Office, which include- Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, can help me in my future career. Not knowing how to use widely-used product could greatly hinder my chances at success. This product can make many different task and projects simple and easy. Think back of how hard it was just two decades ago to do presentations like we do today using PowerPoint. PowerPoint presentations have made it so we can make our point of view appeal to a wide range of people with minimal effort.
Someone who has experience with and understands computers could excel at a job in computer programming or maintenance. Some others who are not so technologically inclined and don’t understand computers at all would find better employment in the general labor areas such as: factories, construction and even security work. Therefore, people try to place themselves in a line of work that best suits them. People always fantasize about that one “dream job” that they want and everyone has their own idea of a dream job is, but it simply comes down to what comes easy for someone or what interests them. A good example being someone who is fascinated with engines would prefer a job in the automotive industry, perhaps even own a repair shop or a restoration garage.

People may not realize that everyday things that help us live our daily lives are surrounded by electronics or computers. The alarm clock to wake you up in the morning, the coffee maker with a timer, the microwave to warm your oatmeal, the television, the automobile, the cellular phone, and the desktop or laptop computer all plays an important factor in our livelihood. To have these working computer electronics one must realize there must be some program to make these products work.
